The Raven from 'The Snow Queen'

95.00 / On Sale

The character of the Raven in Hans Christian Andersen's 'The Snow Queen' gives a little bit of much needed comic relief. Here is PJ Lynch's portrayal of the Raven in a vignette from page 26 of his illustrated version of 'The Snow Queen' published by Andersen Press.

‘"Farewell, farewell!" cried the prince and princess. Gerda wept, and the raven wept out of sympathy. Then he flew up to the branch of a tree and flapped his black wings at the coach till it was out of sight.’

This signed watercolour and gouache painting measures 10 x 15cm and is presented in an attractive natural white mount measuring 15 x 20 cm.
