Jonathan Swift's publication in 1726 of "Gulliver's Travels" was a landmark in the history of literature.
Originally aimed at an adult audience, it has also proved to be an enduring favourite with children.
It is not widely known is that Jonathan Swift wrote most of Gulliver’s Travels whilst he was staying with the family of Thomas Sheridan in Quilca, County Cavan.
In celebration of this fact, Cavan County Library Service commissioned PJ Lynch to paint two large murals for the Johnston Central Library in Cavan.
